I Love the 70s

My husband and I watched this last night, real late. It was the 1979 one. They were talking about when ESPN came on TV. That was kind of funny to watch. They made fun of all these almost non sports that they'd have on to fill up the 24 hours. They even had a clip of a women's hands crocheting.

Now that wasn't part of ESPN. VH1 just likes to do gags like that with these type shows, if you've never seen them.

I just thought it was funny it was crocheting.

Wow! Crochet as a sport.... I always joke around that I do arobic crochet for exercise, but now it's official! Cool! Maybe we should start putting together a team for the next Olympic Summer Games!

No it wasn't a real sport.

It was a gag that VH1 did. I just thought it was funny and wanted to share.

I've been watching that on VH1 and we opted not to watch last night. Now I'll be sure to catch it. I keep seeing the 1970, 1971, and 1972 shows over and over. Eventually I've got to see the subsequent years !

 

I just love their shows on the different decades. It brings back many happy memories for me.

I adore that show!!! I was so excited when Volume Two came out! (LOL, I was born in 1989, but I decided long ago that I have to have been a hippie in a past life.) I watched the whole thing.

i've seen this too, but if you listen to the commentary they say "speed knitting" but they are showing crocheting.
