OK..so I don't know where the right place to put this is, so I'm putting it here and if it should be moved, someone please tell me...I'm just SO happy!!

We're preparing to leave for NC on Friday, I have NO WIP's going AT ALL...and we stopped at the local B&N for DH to pick up a book to keep himself occupied in his down-time while we're away from home..I found the craft section...and there was the SNB:HH book...and I tried to flip through it (which was interesting since my 21 m/o DD was insisting on helping me LOL) and I saw at least one cute top that went up into plus sizes...so I thought what the heck, I'll buy it...while waiting for my older DD's schoolbus to arrive, I got to flip through all the patterns...I'm SO happy!! There are at least 2 dozen patterns that I like, can actually see myself wearing...AND have directions for plus sizes!!! This is like a miracle in a book!!! I'm SO happy!! I'm really tempted to start off with the skirt, but I think I might just wait to make anything from here til we get home again...the book is just one more thing to pack and if I left it in NC I'd be really dissappointed...

Just had to share....DH supports my crochetting, but he just doesn't get it sometimes LOL!!

I fell in love with this book and bought it also. I am almost completed with the bolero jacket, its the red one. I am making it in green chenille for my Mother N Law's b-day this weekend. It is a fast crochet. I plan on making those bunny slippers and a bunch of stuff in the book. I am also plus size and like the plus sized patterns. I saw another post on here where a lady used the tank top and the bikini bottoms for a sexy nightie. I am going to do that also!

I'm so happy to hear you say that...I just bought book on eBay last week after seeing some of the beautiful things some folks here have made from it! I can't wait to get it! I am trying to finish up all my projects before it arrives so I can get right to work on it! And as a fellow plus sized gal I am thrilled to hear the patterns include us ;) Hope to see some of your projects from the book soon!:manyheart

A note to everyone just getting started with the SnB book -- CHECK THE ERRATA PAGES BEFORE YOU START A PATTERN! There are many, many corrections to some of the patterns and you will save yourself great heartache if you look at the errata before you start.

All errata:

Short & Sweet jacket pattern clarification

Many of the patterns are just wonderful but they were badly proofed before publishing. The past two weeks of my life would have been MUCH easier if I had looked at the errata before I started!

Cheers,

Elissa

Elissa - thanks for the link for the corrections. I also just bought this book and am enjoying reading the beginning pages and learning some things. I have printed off the corrections to put in the book right away - otherwise, I would be crocheting along going &*$*# and &$(@*&@ and probably *@(&$)(&)&@ why won't this pattern work.

I love this book. Thank you for posting the correction site. I wasn't aware that there was such a site. The good thing is that I started on the cold shoulders project and didn't see any changes... yet.
