When Does a WIP become a UFO??

I have several current projects that I've started and not completed...I guess 6 altogether. I have 1 that i'm working on today...2 others that I've touched within the past week. 1 in the past month and 2...well...they're wrapped and zipped nicely in a dressbag. I intend to finish them all....are they WIPS...or UFOs?

In my opinion, a project becomes a UFO, when it sits in a bag, in a corner somewhere, for 6 months or more. They are WIP's when you have every intention of finishing the project within a reasonable time....at least within a few months.

I'd probably go along with what Daisy said. That's why my sister's afghan is listed under my UFO's... it's taking me 3 years to finish it!

I agree, it's at least 6 months to a year to become a UFO. But, if you start taking some of the yarn for other projects before that time is up, it makes it a UFO in less time.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! its official, I've got 6 WIPS!...and NO UFOs. I'm afraid to admit, I suspect in about a month there will be a UFO in that category.
