You may want to shorten the neck by one row, my daughter keeps telling everyone that it is a giraffe!! :(

Horses mane
You will need several pieces of yarn, cut into approx. 6 inch pieces. Each piece of yarn will act as 2 strands of hair. I used 2 6 inch strands at a time.
Insert hook into horses head. Grab middle of yard strand with hook and pull through stitch, ( Like you would latch hook!) making a small loop. Pull both free ends of yarn strand through loop, pulling tight to secure hair.
You will continue to do this down back of horses neck, and I did 2 in front of head.
Trim hair evenly, or as desired.
Sew eyes on. ( I used 1/8" doll eye buttons)
Halter
With scrap piece of yarn, circle nose of horse with yarn. (I tied small knots to keep yarn in place. Also circle horses head with same yarn.
Tie and snip ends.
Enjoy your horse!

Kristie!

You are absolutely awesome!! I need to go get some other yarn today, so I have to add yarn for a couple of horses to my list!!!

Thanks so much, my dd is going to love him! I'm going to make several different "breeds" for her.

Thanks again!

Well....with this growing group of patterns for barnyard animals, I've got an idea for a barn and fence in my head...thinking of making them out of plastic canvas. LOL Another project on my list. I'll have to get the animals made first, so I can make the barn and fence in the correct scale for the animals.

Yippee!!! Another addition for my Kristen's Pattern collection. I just bought the LazyDays3 patterns and am so excited because I have another reason to irritate my wrist/hand!!! LOL

Thanks for your wonderful patterns, Kristen. I cannot wait to see the joy on the kids' faces when I get theirs made (trying to do them in secrecy... kids not in school, slow process ;) )

I am glad you like this one! I have to admit, it was a HUGE pain to design.

I am not happy with the neck...they are hard to do.

amyquilt, the puppy is a pattern she tested for me.

I am thinking though, the barnyard needs a sheep!

YEAH!! A SHEEP!!! :cheer:clap

Oh,and what about a goat?? A sheep and a goat (with a cute little beard lol) would complete the barnyard!!:manyheart

Now, is the puppy pattern that was tested one that you will be offering either for sale or free?

Gosh...I'm so bad! I've gotten so addicted to C-ville! Everyone here is great!

Thank you Daisy! :)

I get alot of suggestions for animals :):D

The latest pattern, the snail, came from the ladybug. I am also going to make a turtle from the same pattern.

Believe it or not, I dream about crochet patterns too. When I wake up, I start writing down what the animal should look like, then grab my yarn.

:lol :lol :lol I think I need a life!!:lol :lol :lol
