These little guys are 2 1/4 inches long, and 1 3/4 inches wide.
Enjoy!!

Little Ladybug

General supplies:
Size F Crochet Hook
Small amounts of ww yarn
Tapestry needle for sewing
Fiberfill
Google eyes
Black pipe cleaner for antennas

General terms
Sc-dec= single crochet decrease (decrease over 2 stitches)
Sc= single crochet
FO= finish off
BLO= Back loops only

Body

At the end of each round, join with a slip stitch to beginning sc.
With red,
Chain 2, (starting at top of bug body)
1) 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook
2) ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around (10 sc)
3) ch 1, (2 sc in first sc, sc in next sc) repeat around (15 sc)
4) ch 1, (2 sc in first sc, sc in next 2 sc) repeat around (20 sc)
5-7) ch 1, sc in each sc around.. DO NOT FINISH OFF...
Embroider spots now. With black yarn, embroider small X's on bug body.
Resuming with red yarn,.
8) In BLO, ch 1, sc-dec around (10 sc)
STUFF
9) ch 1, sc-dec around (5 sc)
FO leaving long tail. Use tail to sew hole shut on bottom
Weave in ends

Head
With black
Chain 2
1) 5 sc in 2nd chain from hook
2) ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around (10 sc)
3) ch 1, sc in each sc around
FO leaving long tail.
Sew head to body.

Antennas
Cut a 2½ piece of black pipe cleaner. Push through head and bend up.
Trim as desired

Glue on google eyes.

You've done it again! These little guys are SO CUTE!

 

I ordered the Lazy Days 2 pattern from your Etsy store last night...and the Under the Sea a couple of weeks ago. I cannot wait to get started on some of these things once we get moved and settled. (We are re-locating on about 4 weeks with my dh job). Heck, I think I just need to go and buy your other patterns on Etsy, just so I have them, too. I'll be a crocheting fool once we are settled.

Oh My..............those ladybugs are adorable! I LOVE ladybugs! I'm gonna have to make some for me....yup....just me! Thank you for sharing that fabulous pattern! Gotta love ladybugs :cheer :cheer :cheer How do you do that????:eek You make up the cutest patterns ever!

Someone else had a suggestion, so I will put in mine as well. How about a cutely snail, or a lizard/gecko sort of beasty? You are so terribly talented! We all appreciate your generosity to use!

I am working on a horse...or trying too... I already have a snail in the works too... it is a spin off of this ladybug pattern too...oh..and a turtle.

I can picture them in my head..now, to get them down on paper.
