Jute Twine @ Wal*Mart?

This is a really silly question, I guess, but where at Wal*Mart would one

find jute twine (the sort used in the soles of Interweave Crochet sandals)?

 

I have heard several people mention the got it there for a very reasonable

price, but all I can find is the not as reasonable hemp for jewelry. I

tried asking people at walmart, but all anyone could tell me was that it

wasn't in their section (or in one case, that it was in their section, but

they lied to me).

 

Part of the problem is that I don't know exactly what people use jute for,

really. Please? Where?

 

I also looked at Michael's, but found nothing. Grr!

I think I answered you questions on the CP list but just in case anyone needs to know too...

 

At Walmart I would look in the garden section or the hardware section. Or you can go to your local hardware store and find some there.

 

I couldn't find the 4 ply twine that is recommended but I used two two-plys make to make one sole so far.

I've seen it in the hardware section with the duct tape and stuff like that.

I, too, found mine in the hardware department. However, NOT all Wal-Marts carry it. We have 3 Wal-Marts in Ocala and only 1 of them carries it. You may have to look around for it... It possibly may be on line at their WebSite too, not sure though...

I've seen it at other stores in the jewelry making section with the beads etc. I don't know if WalMart sells that stuff, but if they do, check there.

I found some at Dollar Tree, for, well, a dollar! It's just called Twine and it's a 300 ft. ball! It was near the hardware stuff.

Wally World here doesn't carry it.. I had to go to Hobby lobby..
