I know this has been brought up before, and I just can't find it anywhere! I am looking at a pattern for a cape/booties from a Leisure Arts book to Baby with Love..the one pattern says to use "3" sport weight yarn. I have just finished a bunting in WW (Carons' SS), but to me, the weight seems more SW, was wondering if that would be interchangable? :think I would like to keep to the same colors is why.

Simply Soft is only a little bit thicker than a sport weight. I would do up a gague swatch. Depending on the gague and how you work, it might work up for you. I'm useing Simply Soft to make gague on a project that is supposed to be done in sport weight yarn. But, I work tight, so the thicker yarn helped me make gague. It's worth a shot.
