This is soo cute! I want to make one for my cow-loving friend, but i don't really get the nose...i tried to do what you said in your tut, but i'm confused...i don't think it's supposed to look like this...is it??

That does look right. It is hard to tell from the pictures

 

All it is suppose to be is a little cup looking thing, that you sew on to the head.

 

You can help shape it a bit more when you sew it on too. Sew it in more of an oval shape.

 

If you still have questions, please let me know. I am super busy this weekend, however, I can whip up a cow on Monday and take some additional pictures to show you.

It certainly can!!

 

This is a pattern from my early pattern writing days.

I always joined round ends with a slip st.

You can certainly skip that, and just go in rounds!
