any ugly rules?

Firstly, well done to all who have made blankets for those in need. Putting your skills to good use - bravo!! Next, you purchase your own yarn (mostly), so why did you buy ugly yarn??? Something to think on. Of course sometimes it is the combinations of colors. :tup

 

Am I the only one who has bought "ugly" yarn that was on super duper clearance specifically to make a charity project?

 

Is that a bad thing?

I try to make charity items that are pretty as well as practical. Yes, I know: "Ugly" doesn't count for much if you're freezing, and that's true, too. But I feel that I personally need to do more than that. FWIW and my two cents: I think it makes the recipient feel really special to receive something that is beautiful as well as functional.
