Ok I need some help here

Ok I need some help here. I think I have lost my mind or reasoning anyway.

I have corcheted the poncho which is 60 inches in length. I am now going to put it together, but I have read the directions 6 times and still can't understand.

It is the MODA DEAâ„¢ "Ticker Tape poncho on their web site.

Here is the part I am having trouble with:

FINISHING: Mark center 30" of one long edge for neck. Fold fabric in half and sew seam from markers to edges.

Anyway, does this mean that I fold the 60 inch piece in half and sew the two ends together or what? Can someone help me please?

It says to do it from marker to the edge, personally I'd do it from the edge to the marker, just in case your a bit off everything matchs up.

 

This poncho is constructed the same way but the directions are a bit better

Mary jo.. you will be closing it along the top not the end to make the head hole .. does that help?

Thanks for the help, with that and after 20 minutes of brain storming we figured it out It isn’t easy to brain storm with a half Irish and half Polish person as you never really know who you are dealing with with. Once we realize where the markers went it was only a matter convincing someone that the seam seemed to go this away. lol

Mary Jo is happily crocheting away in the other room. As I am posting this for her mainly because her knee was bugging her and all I was hearing as hobble, hobble, darn it, crochet, crochet, hobble, hobble, darn it lol
