Hi all: I am new to this board. I crocheted over 20 years ago and just recently discovered all the new and wonderful yarns in the stores and just had to pick it back up. My first try is a beautiful sable brown chenille scarf - found my stitch consistency quicker than I thought I would - however, the fringe on the scrarf keeps shedding. Is there a magic resolution?

Hi, and welcome, from Southern California.

 

 

I haven't had much luck with chenille as a fringe. The texture just isn't right. I end up making a crochet edge for my chenille scarves, You might play around with a long picot or something similar, and see how you like the look.
