Hey ya'll! Georgia hooker here!

Recommended Posts

I found this place from yarngirl's blog. :)

I am 35 and have been crocheting for about 12 years. I am a SAHM (or play at home mom) to my 2 yo Lucy.

When I was working, we had a group that stitched every day at lunch. I really miss that.

I make a lot of baby gifts and charity afghans. Right now, I am working on 2 bath mitts, a hoodie cardigan for a baby, and a granny square hoodie for SIL for Xmas. I am trying to teach myself to knit - is that a dirty word here? lol

I am a message board junkie and I post at a couple parenting websites.

Hi, BabeVigoda! Welcome to Crochetville! :welcome I'm glad you found us!

Knitting talk is allowed here! :thumbsup I recently taught myself to knit from some video clips on the web. I haven't gone any further than cast on, knit, purl, and cast off or started any knit projects, though. :b

I used to volunteer with Newborns in Need but our group disbanded. Plus, I heard that they were selling donated items on ebay. :( My daughter spend a week in the NICU after she was born, so I have a special place in my heart for baby charities.

Right now, I am just compiling a stash of afghans for Project Linus. I think they just started a chapter in my area.

I've also done hats, mittens, and scarves for a local shelter.
