Hi, I'm new! :)

Hi everyone!

My name is Jessica and I'm new here (as if you hadn't already noticed that). I'm working on this 63 square afghan for my mom. I'm not using the suggested colors or yarn, though. :/ I'm using cotton yarn in cream & green, because that's what my mom picked out.

 

I'm also working on a scarf made of Bernat Boa Yarn in parrot, and Bernat So Soft yarn in black. I started it last night and after about an hour to an hour and a half I ran out of the boa yarn and wasn't able to finish it. I'll be getting more boa yarn tonight and I'll finish the scarf tonight.

 

I have the first 5 squares done and #7. I got a little stumped on #6. I hope to meet some nice people here and also maybe I'll get some hints and tips on the squares and stitches that are difficult for me.

I love your projects! I have the booklet for the 63 Square Afghan, but I've been busy with other projects that I haven't started any yet. <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/blush.gif" /> The colors your mom picked will look great when it's all finished.

 

And I totally love your scarf... I may have to add something like that to my 'wanna do' list of crochet projects.
