I was about 12 or so when my mom first showed me how to make a chain, and a few other things. It was fun but I was young and I guess I felt I had better things to do - lol. Now I am 26 and I have finally found my way back to crochet. My name is Dawn and I am a stay-at-home mom of a 3 1/2 year old and a 7 month old. I live in Central Mississippi. I am working on my first blanket just playing really to learn the basic stitches, and get together with a friend to work on another from that book with the 62 squares or whatever it is. I am certainly glad I found this place, as you all seem very nice and it seems to be a good resource. Youc an call me Dawniepoo. :woohoo

Boy oh boy, finally somebody from Mississippi! Hi, Dawniepoo! :bigsmile

 

I am 34, and a stay-at-home-mom of a 3 year-old too. I have put other infos on "seeking local crocheters" earlier.

 

Like rebecca mentioned, the 63 square crochet along here is super!
