I found this place by following a link from, of all places, a knitting board.

As my name indicates, I am Teri and I live in New York. Upstate, outside of Albany, to be exact. I'll be married 40 years this coming January. So, that should give you an idea that I am old. My children are grown and married.

I learned to knit when I was 9 years old. I think of myself as a knitter. Yet, I learned to crochet because there are just some knit pieces that need crochet for a nice finish. I do mostly afghans from scraps. At this point, I find the crochet quicker and easier on my hands.

I make a lot of hats for charity. I work on them all year. Then come Christmas time a local organization collects the hats and mittens for needy folks in our county, which is the 4th poorest in the State.

I don't have a digital camera or a scanner, so I can't share my work with you folks. But I have been admiring the talent that this group has and am looking forward to participating, as best I can.

You'll find that this group is very friendly, extremely helpful, and downright sweet! They are also a bunch of YARN ENABLERS!!! Hahaha <img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/veryhappy.gif" /> !!!

Glad to have you aboard!

Hi teri. Welcome to Crochetville! I am also a knitter - I have just learnt to crochet - with a new baby, I find it easier to pick upand put down than knitting at the moment.

Did you find this board through knitters review by any chance?

Michelle
