Oh how wonderful!!! I just found this place, and I will have to tell a coworker about it as well! She's the one that taught me to crochet last fall, and I've got the "bug" something fierce now. We're constantly swapping patterns, and even though she's been crocheting much longer than I have, I have been able to teach her a few tricks!

Oh, I almost forgot, the projects that I'm currently working on are a baby afghan, a hat for my DD, a filet piece with my mother's last name spelled out, and a cro-nit elephant.

 

I've done several scarves, mittens, "skull cap" hats, dog sweater, some beaded wire bracelets....

 

On my to-do list is a poncho (which is what brought me to this site, thanks to google,) several small stuffed animals and other various things...

I haven't taken pics of my work yet, thankfully, most have just migrated to family members (with the exception of two scarves that went as Christmas gifts to daycare providers last year,) so it shouldn't be too hard to borrow them for a quick shot or two...

 

I plan on getting a crochet blog started up sometime soon, and will include the pics on there...

 

My little one is 5, and she starts Kindergarten in a week. :cry I just can't believe that my baby is growing up on me. If I had my way, I'd keep her at 18 months forever. I loved that age. Anytime I pull out the hooks and yarn, she asks me if I'm making something new for her. She also has a habit of "stealing" my smallest steel hook, and I usually find it hidden in the couch cushions. This is too cute, but she calls them "shay" hooks. When she gets a little older, I plan on teaching her the basics.

WELCOME! That was sooooo cute how your daughter calls them "shay" hooks! My baby is going to start 3rd grade and you know I don't think it gets any easier :rollin ! (I have a middle school child too) But I know how you feel!
