Finally ... A Granny Square

Hi Theresa,

 

Thank you for the nice compliments about my square. I got the pattern for the square at this site:

Drew (aka The Crochetdude) recommended her patterns to me when I was crying in another thread about not being able to do granny squares. The picture I posted was the very first granny square I've ever done so I guess you could say they're pretty easy to do. :) The instructions are crystal clear and a lot simpler than what you'd expect when you look at the square itself. I can't recommend them highly enough.

 

The yarn I used was Caron Simply Soft Brite in "Watermelon." It's a fairly common yarn, I'm sure Hobby Lobby would carry it. But since we don't have Hobby Lobbys in California I wouldn't know for sure.
