Dear citizens of Crochetville! I want to show you my black shawl. It is crochetted from woolen yarn. It was made some years ago, but I like it. It is very comfortable, and when it is cold I wear it and look smart.

How do you like it?

Thank you very much for so many warm words. It's so nice to be here, to see your works and show mine. You are very kind and friendly.:ty

Xmaystarx, Faithpa76, LolitaChase, Mythunderbird, Jacmin asked for the pattern. Here is it. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e202/Gelenka/crochet/b182022f.jpg It's not a description, it's a schema. The shawl consists of 36 squares and 9 triangles. They are connected while knitting. And at the bottom you see the last two rows - they are made around the shawl at the end. If you don't understand the schema, I'll explain.

Could you explain a little more about how the squares are sewn together AND the schema for the triangles?

Thanks - your shawl is beautiful!

Thank you again for lovely words. I'll try to answer your questions.

Here is the schema for the triangles. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e202/Gelenka/crochet/78f9a77e.jpg

Don't be very strict, I tried to draw it in Photoshop. If you have ever done it you will understand me.

And here is the schema for the squares http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e202/Gelenka/crochet/b182022f.jpg

Around the last row of the square and the triangle you see small black dots. These are the places where you should connect pieces.

Ask if you have questions.

Elena

It's amazing how the corners of the squares meet to make a circular pattern. I love it!

Thanks for sharing the schema for the squares and triangles. Approximately how many squares and triangles do you need to make?
