Ernie the Monkey - from RoxyCraft's Pattern

Hello Everyone,

 

I wanted to share some pictures of Ernie the Monkey that I crocheted from RoxyCraft's awesome patterns Here's her website...http://www.roxycraft.com

I made it for a friend of mine and modified the pattern so that he could sit up on his desk. I added long arms and legs to Roxy's pattern.

The embroidery is a new thing for me. I'm not totally thrilled with the face, but my friend loves it b/c he says that it's cute and original that it's like that...

great job! :-) I made this monkey too, my son wanted a blue monkey, so I made it sort of a indigo blue. turned out nice. I suck at embroidery, so I used beads for his eyes, and I don't think I've gotten around to making the mouth yet. I do beadwork, and can understand that more than embroidery. I just don't get it. I think that I made the hands different, and used the hands from a different roxycraft pattern. but I kept the tail and feet the same.
