Hello, My name is Marvie, I'm a 31 yo SAHM living in Stuttgart Germany where my husband is stationed for his shore duty tour. We're a Navy family on an Army post, talk about minority! We have a 10 yo son and three cats, who are as much my kids as the human one is lol.

I learned to crochet from my Granny when I was about 8 years old, though I never really did anything with it till a year or so ago. It was quite a surprise when I picked up a needle and yarn and actually remembered what to do with it! Since then I have made a couple of lapghans, the first two were disasters but I finished them... just don't try to fold them with nice even edges heheh... I made hubby a full sized afghan, and then the kiddo got a lapghan. Then I stopped for a while due to moving over here, and I have recently picked up the hooks again. I had to make the kittys their very own blankies to keep them off of ours and just last night I made my very first hat using a free pattern from the internet. Today I made my second hat as I read through some of the wonderful posts on this site :) Now I am looking forward to making lots of other neat things. Not counting my unfinished projects that is! I currently have more than a couple of those lol.

Wow, four kids would keep anyone hopping! I did home day care back in the states and I know what you mean :)) At least my kids went home with their parents at the end of the day though lol. My one keeps me pretty busy though, his curent thing is wanting to join the Cub scouts, allllll his friends do it and there's no one to play with on Tuesday evening cause their all gone (imagine this said with a whine and a sad look on his face lol) so he's working Dad for that. I was never a scout, never wanted to be one even, but hubby was and he's all for it. I say sure, go right ahead, heh, YOU get to take him to meetings and stuff!

 

Yes, I've made the little man a couple of things, a lap blanket for tv watching and game playing, and most recently a skully, now he's telling me he wants ANOTHER one lol. I'll probably make him a scarf to go with one of them. So far that's all I've made him though. I'm just glad he likes what I have made heheheh

Hi Marvie.:welcome to Crochetville! I am also a SAHM, have been ever since the first kiddo (almost 27 years). As far as I am concerned it is the best "job" in the world
