Hi! I love to crochet, sew, craft, and try new projects (just look at my house...this is UFO central!)

Crochet seems to be my life lately, as I've been selling a few crochet patterns on eBay, and make quite a few things to either sell or give to friends. Of course, right now I'm on the Poncho wagon...between that and eBay, my day is spent with yarn, my furry loved ones and of course the computer. I'm not able to work right now due to anxiety and panic attacks, etc..so crochet is also my therapy. I keep a bag of scrap yarn by the bed, and add a few rows to my ever-growing granny square every night..nothing I have to think about, just a great relaxation technique for me!

Married here, nearly at a milepost in the age groups, have 2 sons, 17 and 21..a very understanding hubby, and several furry children.

I found this wonderful site by searching for crochet sock patterns. For over a year, I've bought books about crocheting socks, searched for the perfect yarn (is there one??), made several ski caps from wool sock yarn, fell in love with the feel of the yarn, and last week made the plunge...I ordered sock yarn to actually start crocheting a pair of socks!!

Oh, a funny, and I think I've finally found others who can relate- last night I was trying to figure out an idea I have for a poncho. I kinda got carried away, and now have a lovely long chenille scarf. The chenille is very hard to frog, so I decided that I have 1 Christmas present ready to go I post in spurts, but read daily...and enjoy what I've read so far. Belong to several crochet groups, but am not active in any- I hope to find a little spot here amongst fellow crocheters!

oh dear..of course I jump in without figuring out how the posts work..so I'm a reply

nope, hopefully I've moved it:) to the right place. Me..jump in with both feet, fall, then learn how...oh dear...oh dear:)

Hi!

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! :ty

I look forward to making friends here:hug2

Still no sock yarn squishy, so I started making myself a poncho from a pattern I came up with last year. I never make anything just for me, so :fc it will be finished before the other poncho yarn gets here. That yarn is for op's ponchos:lol
