That's really lovely, Courtney! I wish I had the patience for doilies. Perhaps after making all these snowflakes for Snowflake Monday I will!

 

actually thats how I got started...with snowflakes & bookmarks, and the in no time I was on to doilies...soon I plan to start a tablecloth:hook as soon as I can find a pattern I love:devil

I learned to crochet using thread. Seems like most crocheters these days work mainly with yarn. Know your mom will treasure it.
