"Wisteria" doily

Here is my latest doily, and I loved making it!! It was all tc and popcorns, so it was a lot of fun to make. It is from A Year of Doilies, April. It is originally worked up in lilac to accentuate the Wisteria clusters formed by the popcorns. I chose to use white, as it is a gift for my mother (who prefers white doilies) and while it detracts a bit from the Wisteria theme, I still feel like it turned out pretty:) I used AUnt Lydias, size 10, a 6 hook, and blocked, it came out to 18 inches.

that is beautiful!

 

growing up we had a huge, i mean huge, wisteria vine outside my bedroom window. we lived on the third floor and i could almost touch the flowers sometimes (i could even tell you what purple tasted like! :lol)

 

where could i find that pattern? i would love to make one for my mom...

That's really lovely, Courtney! :tup I wish I had the patience for doilies. Perhaps after making all these snowflakes for Snowflake Monday I will!
