Hello from Texas. :)

Hello.

I'm obviously new, eh?! Well, I found this ezboard through a Livejournal community and thought I would check this place out.

I have been crocheting for a month now, and I am still in the beginners' stage. My first big project was a scarf and believe me when I say I really messed that one up! :) The ends are crooked and it bows a bit, but it's my first project so I guess I'll keep it around.

Right now I am making a baby blanket for my friend. I sort of made the st too tight, but there is no way I'm undoing all that work! I've already went through 2 1/2 skeins. I promised her three blankets, so I guess they will get better as I move from one to the next.

I am having a rough time trying to figure out a dc. I have had 4 different sites/books/people show me 4 different ways how to do it. (In a few minutes I'm going to look at stitchguide.com to see if they have a video.)

Hmm, personal stuff? Well, I'm 25 years old and I live in Houston, Texas. In about a year, I will be moving to Sweden to live with my boyfriend. We've been togther over three years now.

Ask me what you will. :)

Awesome! I actually reside in Pasadena, but more people know where Houston is so that's why I use it. :)

You are the first person I've come in contact with around my area. (Besides my friend who I got 'hooked' into crocheting. Hardy-har-har.)

:welcome to Crochetville! :wave

:bounce I'm from Pasadena! I was born there and my mom is living there again so it's still home. :)) I live in Las Vegas now for another six months and then it's back to Texas. I also know where Pearland is. :D I went to high school in Friendswood and actually lived within 1/2 mile of Pearland city limits. What a small world! :grouphug

Awesome, tiffcrochets! Now I know two people. Does this thing let you make a friends list or something? I don't want to forget who lives around me.

I went to Sam Rayburn for High School and graduated in '97. I have an ex who lives in Friendswood. :U

<img border=0 src="http://img28.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/welcome.gif" /> This is a great place!! I am also a beginner, I think ive been at it for about 2 months. Luckly I have a friend at work who's been Crocheting since before I was born and she helps me out tons! Your 3rd blanket is gonna be the breeze LOL My first scarve (i made it about a year ago when I tried to learn with no help) wound up looking like a long blue candy cane, because I was putting in too many stitches and not paying close enough attention LOL so I know whatcha mean!! Happy Hooking!!
