New Yarn Store in Dallas

I was in Dallas this weekend with some extra time and had been looking for Blue Sky Alpaca since I found it in a store in Atlanta.

The Shabby Sheep, near the West End off Woodall Rogers, is the only Dallas retailer I could find that carried it. So I stopped in and was very pleasantly surprised. The building is a bungalow-style house with different yarns in each room and the owner, Rhonda, was incredibly nice, even in the middle of the Sat. rush.

They carried a lot of cool yarns and the prices seemed very reasonable to me. I was there for knitting stuff so I didn't get to test the crochet knowledge but she seemed to be the type to go out of her way to find anything you might possibly need. And she was very internet friendly, which I was surprised to see because in my experience most LYS owners are anti-internet because of the effect it has had on small business.

Anyhoo, didn't mean to ramble, just wanted to share.

I got some great Noro Kureyon and Blue Sky Organic Cotton and some fabulous Debbie Bliss stuff. Mmmmm... Merry Christmas to me!
