My Pineapple Shawl

Hello All! After a long absence, I'm finally getting back in the groove of reading/posting and updating my own blog. I didn't stop crocheting though! Here is the infamous pineapple shawl that I crocheted for myself.

I just love that Pineapple Shawl. I've wanted to make one since the first time I saw someone make one. The color is very pretty. Think I'll run to Michaels and start one for myself.

MelissaC - The pattern can be found here. It's a doily pattern, and you just use yarn and a larger hook. I used an I or J and sport or fingering weight yarn (it was about 8 threads wound together).

Your shawl turned out fabulous!!! Mine turned out way to big (I'm a loose crocheter) so I'm going to have to try again with a smaller hook. What yarn did you use?

Wow! That's beautiful! I really love the color and the pattern is sooo intricate. Wonderful stitching.

 

I like the idea of taking a small pattern and resizing it - and I think it's especially funny that the ad for the pattern reads "for your choicest chair". heheheh... funny.

Those designers had no idea that you'd put it in a fabulous shade and make it into a stunning shawl that you could actually show off OUTSIDE of your home
