Help with Jade Dress pattern joining shoulder

I need help with this pattern.  Left Shoulder, Row 3 where it says (join).  Not sure what is being joined to where???

Study the stitch charts for both the left and right shoulders and sleeves. They show the join place on 3rd row.  This is the back of neck.  Looks like you will now be working from one side of v front across front around the sleeve, across the back, around other sleeve on to the other front piece to that side of the v neck.  Then you would turn the piece and work back across until you reach the other side of the v neck.
