We get help requests for a lot of patterns that do not follow the conventionally accepted standard.  In other words the snippet you gave could mean multiple things and we would just be guessing.  They could be using plus signs instead of commas. Are the pluses just used in one part of the pattern or thru out it.  The more info we have the better we can help.  If its a free pattern on the internet you can give us the link.  Even the link to a purchased can sometimes help as we can at least see what is being made.  Sometimes we can search and find info if you give us the name and designer.  You can type out a few rows from a pattern and not violate copyright but its important to type it exactly as written right down to the punctuation.
