Those are some interesting links, thanks for sharing.  There are yarn brands there that I have never seen before.  I don't know about anyone else but my favorite is Lion Brand yarns. My least favorite is Bernat.

I spent a little time reviewing the reviews.  Overall, pretty subjective.  Budgetyarnreview is helpful in that she does durability tests.  Wash and dry swatches.
