Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

We are always so glad to meet new friends.

Anytime you need help go to Crochet help and as your question.  Lots of people will to help you.

As for counting stitches.  I aways (if crocheting in rows), put a marker on first stitch of row and last stitch of row.  That was where I usually lost stitches, cause I could not find the first stitch.  As for rows I use a counter or I have a pad and pencil next to me to mark what row I am on.

hi, I'm from Massachusetts,

Been crocheting, or let's say, I have knowledge of how to do a few crochet stitches, I learned as a youngster and I don't remember what age I was.  But crochet has stuck in my gut ever since..  Didn't take to knitting because, I detest purl stitches..

I'm on the net looking for  understanding of what "in pat" means as referred to a pattern I want to make. .usually they say in dc or sc or etc.

this does not so, I'm no the net looking for help.
