Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

We are always so glad to meet new friends.

We have a thread here, where you can search for patterns.

Welcome!  Free vintage crochet is a good  site to try, it is sorted by category, the link is to the main menu but there is a section on purses.  Most of the patterns that I've encountered are US patterns from the 1930s-1960s or so.

Another site is Antique Pattern Library, I've linked to the page of crochet books (they have all sorts of craft sections, not just crochet and knitting).  This isn't sorted by type of item but rather a combo of author and title.  You can do a search on a topic (see the 'find' box) to locate a mention of bag or purse in the description.

This is a US site but it has books in many languages, but most are in English.  Note that if you find a crochet pattern published in the US between 1900-1930-ish, it's going to use UK stitch terms.  Before 1900 the stitch terms are not modern ones, I've done a couple of really old patterns and they are a challenge even with a key to translating the terms.
