Newbie from SC

Hi everyone!  My name is Wendy and I’m brand new to crocheting.  I’ve completed 1 project, but I think I missed some rows in my pattern because instead of a cute little penguin, I made a cute little disembodied penguin head. 🤪 It was one of those little Woobles beginner amigurumi kits.  That’s what I would love to do - make adorable little critters.  Currently, I’m working on making a stuffed ball, just to practice the magic ring and getting my stitches consistent.  The struggle is real!  I have a pile of wonky rings and larger circles where I either forgot to put my round marker in and lost count, or lost count so badly there’s no correcting it.  I came across this forum looking for tips and pointers.  Im so excited to look around and meet some new crafty friends.
