end of row help

Nanastitch

Question

I  need some help i can crochet but apparently i don't add the needed stitch at the end of a row or something because my square just gets narrower and narrower and looks more like a triangle than a square.    I have tried adding a single stitch at each end but that doesn't seem to help.    HELP please...

This  explains where to put your first and last stitches.  Its tricky because often your last stitch is worked into the turning chain of the previous row.  It can help to put a stitch marker in the chain so you recognize it when get back to it.  It is important to always count stitches as you complete each row so you can address the problem then instead of realizing there is a problem many rows later and having to pull them out and start over.
