Can I substitue Lion Brand Pound of Love instead of Lion Brand Coboo and get similar results?

Hello,

I have a cardigan I would like to crochet but the Lion Brand Coboo is a bit too expensive for me.

I was wondering if I substitute Lion Brand Pound of Yarn and change my crochet hook size to change the guage, will the project turn out OK?

Any feedback is welcome!

I checked.  Caboo is light weight and Pound of Love is worsted weight so I can not see how it will turn out okay unless the pattern tells you to crochet to fit measurements instead of number of stitches.  Do you have experience crocheting garments, comparing your  gauge, and doing the math it takes to compensate?  I will admit I steer clear of garments, never saw patterns for anything I wanted to wear bad enough to deal with matching designers gauge.
