New to the group and crocheting

Hello, I just started crocheting in February, 2022, and I love it!

I especially like Amigurumi. I started making those wobbles, but too expensive, I then started watching YouTube videos and they taught me everything, including how to read patterns, so now I’m reading patterns and crocheting!

My problem now, is I’m breaking out with contact dermatitis 😕. So I don’t touch my face and because I have shorts on I don’t pull the yarn across my legs anymore, I keep it in a bag. Every time I take a break, I get up and wash my hands.
Does anyone else have this issue, It’s not all yarns. I believe it’s the ones with a lot of dye in them. I only use, acrylic, cotton, or a blend. I also use Cetaphil skin cream on my arms, face, and legs, it’s very soothing (Amazon has it).
Have any of you have better tricks for yarn contact dermatitis?

I’m not giving crocheting up!

Welcome to Crochetville from the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Grab your yarn and hooks, put your feet up and sit a spell.

We are always so glad to meet new friends.

Very cool pictures.  Love the microscope.  We love pictures.
