Pattern question

Lisarow

Question

Hi, I don’t understand this direction:

*(1sc) 2x, 1sc in next stitch* until last stitch 2sc in last stitch (30)

The previous row has 22.  Am I supposed to 2sc in the first stitch, then 1sc in next stitch and repeat that pattern until the last stitch?  The (1sc) 2x is what I don’t understand.  I can’t get the math to work

Not loving the way its written.

We have 22 stitches in previous row and supposed to have 30 when this row is completed so we need some increases---make 2 stitches into 1.

1 sc in first (or next stitch) of previous row

2 sc in next stitch of previous row

1 sc in next stitch of previous row

If you do the above sequence 7 times it uses 21 stitches of previous row and makes 28 stitches

In last stitch make 2 sc.  This uses 22 stitches and makes a total of 30.
