stuck at the beginning of a round

I am trying to make a baby afghan and the pattern starts with a square, the corners havw hdc 1 chain then hdc to make ch 1 space. I have attached the directions and photo of the afghan and where I am stuck.  If you could show by a video, it may be easier.  I am starting row 4.  Thank you so much,

Not sure what the problem would be with round 4.  Its exactly the same as rounds 2 and 3 except for the increase in the numbers of stitches that are worked between the corners.
