substitute for patons divine & brilliant?

Paton's Divine is a bulky weight acrylic/mohair yarn. Red Heart Symphony is similar, but I dount you can get that in the UK either. I'd think any mostly-acrylic wanna-be mohair yarn that's the same weight will be okay to sub, I know that's very vague and probably not helpful, LOL.

And I can't be of any assistance with the Brilliant...

For the Paton's Brilliant you could substitute Lion Brand Glitterspun, if you have that. There's not as many colors of Glitterspun as there are of Brilliant, but it's very similar. I've substituted Brilliant for Glitterspun many times since here in Ohio the Brilliant is MUCH less expensive. As for the Divine, I think Natalie's suggestion of Red Heart Symphony is a good one, I can't think of any other mohair-like substitutes that might be widely available. Good luck! :yay

Patons® Brilliant Yarn 69% Acrylic 19% Nylon 12% Polyester. F/5 hook

Patons® Divine 79.5% acrylic, 18% mohair, 2.5% polyester. J/10 hook

I'm not sure what yarn you can get a hold of in the UK.

Looks like Red Heart LusterSheen would be a possible sub for Brilliant.

Red Heart Aztec Yarn 78% acrylic, 13% mohair, 9% polyester M/13 hook could be a possible sub for Divine. It's new.

Lion Moonlight Mohair Yarn 35% mohair, 30% acrylic, 25% cotton, 10% polyester metallic blend. K/10 1/2 Hook. sub for Divine

Bernat Ping Pong 73% acrylic 27% nylon I/9 hook sub for Brilliant

I don't know if this helps. Good luck:manyheart
