Hello! My name is Janis (pictured as Glinda lol) and I have been crocheting for less than a year but already love it. I’ve made a few tops, bookmarks, plant holders & stuffed animals and would love to learn so much more for the holidays!  I am a student and so giving handmade gifts has always been my go-to to save money and I really love crafting in general.  Looking forward to learning patterns and techniques and meeting some new people along the way!  Also randomly found this site trying to find ways to keep my cat from attacking me while working so please share suggestions.

Maybe try to play with kitty and tire him out before you start crocheting. Or giving him catnip while you work. If it's a kitten or nor very old, it may just be playful enough for nothing to work.
