My first projects-potholders

I made these over a couple days to give to friends. They’re my first projects and I’m really proud even though they are sort of crooked. I followed the same pattern except I’m not super good at counting stitches yet.

Very pretty.  I love the multi colored ones.  The black though would be perfect in my kitchen.

I especially like the colorful ones. Counting stitches is a habit you just have to work at developing.

Just a little advice.  Until you get use to counting stitches mark the first and last stitch of each row.  It sometimes help.  Many a times I frogged a piece because of not enough or to many stitches.

Keep up the good work. Tampa Doll's advice is great. Just move the stitch markers up each time you complete a row. If you don't have any stitch markers, just use a couple of strands of yarn or paper clips, or bobby pins.

Wonderful first projects. It is always a great thing to create your first projects.
