Thank you for accepting me to the group, my name is Kathy, I began crocheting around 8 years of age. I discovered filet crochet about 8 years ago. I enjoy making filet crochet baby afghans. I recently made a baby chick Afghan go my chicken crazy granddaughter. I told her each stitch represented a hug. I am going to try and convert a cross stitch pattern to filet crochet. We’ll see......

Welcome! Filet crochet is also one of my favorite techniques. I have a computer program called Sandcastle that I use to create patterns and my future project is to design a filet bodice for a baby girl's dress. 

I love that you made something so precious for your granddaughter!
