Preemie cardigan and bonnet in filet

I have been crocheting baby clothes almost daily over the past 6 years. Prior to that I crocheted fine laces for bedding and towels, made curtains and generally projects that did not require shaping. I have always used thread. I love thread's stitch definition.

Shaping is the next level of mastery (other than bullion st 🤔) for me and I am now content that I can accomplish it. So I have returned to filet (my favorite technique) to make baby clothes. I used a vintage pattern here but I also have the Sandcastle program to design for myself.

Here is my WIP; a preemie cardigan and bonnet. I still need to edge the bonnet to match the jacket, and to make a diaper cover.
