Question
Beantown
So, I've just started crocheting a month or two ago, using online tutorials, and have been working hard to get my handwork down. I've made lots of practice "scarves,"but I realized recently that I have actually been doing my single crochet incorrectly, and I'm trying to figure out what stitch (if it's even a stitch!) that I have been making! So I'll try to describe: I have been going through the first stitch, yarning over, pulling through the stitch (now two loops on my hook) and then I yarn over, pull only through the first loop, yarn over again, and pull through both loops.
Is this even a thing? The scarves have looked okay, which is why I didn't realize I was making a mistake. Any insight would be appreciated!!
