Too big and too far in

Quincy

Question

Hello, my daughter is crocheting a blanket with a basic chain stitch. She got 60 rows in and we realized that it was way too long. Is there anyway to cut the access and seal it at the end? Or should we just unravel it all??

Cut and seal? No.  Would be easier to crochet 2 more blankets (almost)

She can't have made a whole blanket with a chain stitch, I am going to guess you either mean SC (single crochet, US terms) or slip stitch, which are the closest in height to a chain stitch.  (You can't make chain stitches into chain stitches)

So to make sure I understand your daughter made 60 rows and realized she should have stopped (example, 10) rows earlier for a perfect sized blanket length?  She'll have to unravel 10 rows, and tie off the last stitch.  Unlike knitting, it won't potentially fall apart.

If you mean it's too WIDE, she will need to start over or maybe unravel some rows and consider the length the width?
