Hi, my name's Valerie and I live in Colorado. I have been crocheting for many years but have only this year become devoted to the craft and improved my skills, branching away from afghans and scarves to hats, toddler clothes, amirigumi, shawls, caplets and ponchos. (thanks to discovering youtube) (My number one love has been beading.)

I have an out of print pamphlet by Betty Saxton called ONCE UPON A MYTH 4 crochet mythical animals. I have started the dragon and completed the back and tail and part of the breastplate when I ran into a snag. On round 19 it says...sc in sc 4 times, sc 2 sc together, sc in next 5 sc, ch 1 and turn.???? I have 11 sc to work with and have no idea what this means. Can anyone help?

Sc in sc stitch of previous round

Sc in sc stitch of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

Sc in sc stitch of previous round

decrease by sc two sc stitches together of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

Sc in sc  stitch of previous round

This makes 10 stitches in round 19 and uses 11 stitches from round 18.

BGS , 10 stitches is correct. Valerie wrote she has 11 sc to start. So, the decrease leaves 10 stitches.

Thank you!  Thats what happens when I stay up til 3am.  I will edit it.
