Crochet Newbie, Need Help!

LaurenV

Question

Hello everyone!

I’m a little new to crochet and have started with a simple blanket. I started it a while ago and then put it down for quite a while. I’ve finally started to pick it back up again but now I don’t remember what stitch I used for a certain part that I want to replicate. 😥 I know I started with rows of single crochet stitch and then switched to what I think was a double crochet stitch, with baubles between them. However when I try to replicate the double crochet stitch, it doesn’t look the same. I don’t know if anyone can help just by looking at pictures, but I’ve attached them for reference. If you have any idea about what I’m doing wrong I would appreciate the help!

Thanks in advance!! 😁

I think in the bottom picture, you made DCs into DCs, and in the top picture, above the bobbles (popcorns?) you alternated SC and DC.

Edit, the red lines are sketching the sides and tops of what I'm interpreting as SCs.
