Welcome to the 'ville!  What came to mind was a (blanket) pattern I made a while back that was half entrelac, half traditional (Catherine Wheel), which  'rounded off' the angles of the entrelac, if that makes sense.  I will see if I can find a free pattern, the one I made was from an old magazine.

Edit, can't find a free stitch pattern, but this is another pattern showing what it looks like https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/shells-and-diamonds-scarf.  You know how to do entrelac, it was 1 row of entrelac and the 2 rows which comprise a Catherine wheel.
