How to inc

Having trouble in the inc row did the first inc no problem but then it says cont in patt, in this way at each end of 2 foll 8th row  my pattern is 4 rows dont know where to inc

It means to increase twice more (in the same way you just did in the current row, at the row ends), 8 rows apart.

So, think of it as you have finished row 0 of the increase scheme, you want to count rows up from there like *1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (which have no increases_, then you increase in the next (8th) row...which becomes row 0 again, then repeat from the * once more.  This is a common way to describe how to do a gradual increase of decrease, example if you start shaping a sleeve at the wider armhole end you want to gradually decrease toward the wrist end.
