What does 1dc to end of rnd mean?

Hcw522

Question

Hello!

Newbie here, I'm following a pattern as follows:

Using the black yarn, start with a magic ring
1st rnd: 6dc into the magic ring. (6 sts)
2nd rnd: (2dc) into every st to end of rnd. (12 sts)
3rd rnd: Repeat *1dc, (2dc)* 6 times. (18 sts)
4th rnd: 1dc, (2dc), repeat *2dc, (2dc)* to last st, 1dc. (24 sts)
5th rnd: 1dc to end of rnd.
6th rnd: Repeat *3dc, (2dc)* to end of rnd. (30 sts)
7th rnd: 1dc to end of rnd.
8th - 9th rnds: Repeat 7th rnd.
10th rnd: Repeat *dc2tog, 3dc* to end of rnd. (24 sts)
11th rnd: 1dc to end of rnd.
12th rnd: 1dc, dc2tog, repeat *2dc, dc2tog* to last st, 1dc. (18 sts)
Begin to add stuffing into the sphere and continue to do so until the last rnd.
13th rnd: Repeat *dc2tog, 1dc* to end.
14th rnd: dc2tog to end of rnd. (6 sts)

I'm stuck on the 5th and 7th round because I'm unsure what the instruction is asking me to do. Am I supposed to just do one additional double stitch? Or am I supposed to go all the way around? In which case, how do I know how many stitches to do to complete the round?

Thank you!

You are to do 1 dc in each stitch.  On row 5 you wil have 24 stitches.

On row 7 you will have 30 stitches.

On both of these row you do not add any stitches.  You works the same amount of stitches as the row before.
