Well I thought I should start the 2020 thread for the mini Christmas stocking drive for Warmth for Warriors (W4W). I've been heading up this charity stocking drive for several years now here at Crochetville. Each year people crochet, knit, or sew mini handmade Christmas stockings for the troops. Stockings should be around 6 inches long and any pattern style or color is accepted. Stockings that are a little smaller or larger are okay too.

The miniature stockings are filled at W4W Headquarters with soaps, toiletries, and candies for overseas to our troops as a little Christmas gifts. The little stockings filled with goodies are a wonderful way to say thank you to our troops and give them a little Christmas cheer during the holidays. We also need donations of the little motel sized soaps, shampoos, chapsticks and other small items for stuffing the stockings.

Shipping address for all USPS packages to:

Mini Cuffed Christmas Stocking

Deadline for shipping stockings to Warmth for Warriors and delivery to them is November 1, 2020. It's never too early to start making these little stockings for the troops. We need lots of the mini stockings. Last year over 3,000 stockings were received by Warmth for Warriors. So get those hooks out and let's make some Christmas stockings for our troops.

Here are some BLO stockings I crocheted this weekend. These all use my free BLO Christmas stocking pattern. Feel free to use any pattern you like to make your mini Christmas stockings but if you need some suggestions, you can find a free pattern page here with crocheted and knitted pattern ideas at the Ravelry group for W4W.

Here are the next 15 stockings going out to Warmth for Warriors tomorrow. I have done 25 stockings so far this year. I know it seems early to be crocheting Christmas stockings but I have been only working part-time due to the Coronavirus so I have had lots of spare time to craft lately.

Here is my latest batch of mini Christmas stocking for the Warmth for Warriors (W4W) troops. Just in case anyone is interested, we are having a stocking making event for W4W over at a Ravelry group.  We even are offering a prize of a Ravelry pattern for participating. All you have to do is make at least one stocking and share it to be entered into the drawing for the pattern.

The event has been extended until Saturday, August 8, 2020. So its not too late to join us for the special event for Warmth for Warriors. You do not need to join the group to participate in the event. Click here go to the event at GTT.

Just wanted to post that we are nearing the deadline for this year's drive on November 1. Here is the batch of stockings that I mailed off today. Please send off any stocking you may have soon so headquarters can have the time to get them stuffed and off to our troops for Christmas overseas.
Thank you all so much that have participated.
